Screen Reader Not Reading Accordion Content

Hello,

I was testing my accordion content with a screen reader I use and noticed it only reads the titles and not the content inside unless I place my mouse inside the accordion and only then a few words. Pressing the Tab button and/or the directional keys only takes me to the next accordion title. I am using the most recent version of NVDA (2017.3) in our Moodle 3.3 classroom on Google Chrome. The H5P content is currently embedded in a Moodle Book.

Also, slightly off-topic, but when the same screen reader is reading through a Course Presentation slide, it says "clickable" for the spaces in between the paragraphs.

Thank you for help in this matter and have a nice day.

Katie

Hi Katie,

thank you very much for taking the time to test accordion with your readspeaker. It is certainly a bug and I've made an issue for it to be fixed:

https://h5ptechnology.atlassian.net/browse/HFP-1711

Most of the content should be accessible with NVDA but a few are only accessible for ChromeVox unfortunately.

If you catch anything else please do not hesitate to write in!

Hi Tim,

Thank you for your help in this manner and have a nice day.

I've also been testing it on NVDA and ChromeVox and the inside content is also not being read for me. Hoping to hear an update. Thanks!
