Completion of te New h5p-Content type "transcript"

hi,

my goal is to create a h5p - activity with the new activity "transcript", that can be passed.

So I created an  h5p - activity with the content type "transcript" in Moodle and added a youtube-video. To that video I added a sample question and a submit screen. Before I'd did so also for an activity "interactive video". The users are now able to submit their answers to the videos. Having enough points, the users are in case of the "interactive video" able to pass the activity. So I can use the passing as a criteria for making other hidden activities visible.

Unfortunatelay that does not work for the "transcript" Although they are very similar. My Settings for the transcript are:

In the beginning I also had probs to unlock the completion of the "interactive video". But you can do that via the activity report.

So my question is , what must be done use a trancript in order to have a switch for other activities to be visible/hidden or in other words how can I make an h5p-activity with content type "transcript" be passable?

Best,

Thor

Hi!

What version of Transcript are you using? There was a fix in 1.2.0 that should have resolved that issue.

If you're not an admin, then you cannot check the library version number on the H5P library settings page of the H5P integration. You still have a couple of options to check, but that would take some time explaining, in short:

  • Download H5P file, unzip it, check H5P.Transcript-1.x/library.json for the exact version number
  • Open your browser's dev console, go into iframe context, type H5P.instances[0].libraryInfo

It may be easier if your admin installs the latest version from https://www.olivertacke.de/labs/2022/10/25/ho-ho-ho-now-i-have-a-content-type-starting-with-t/
