Document Tool - Export File window not displaying when embedded in Moodle

Hi

Just running some tests on the Document Tool, embedded in Moodle 3.3.3 and using Stealth Mode.

Everything works fine until the Export Document button is clicked. At that point the window goes blank and the document is not exported.

I have tried this too by going direct to the H5P activity rather than the embedded version and the Export option is there and works as expected. Attached video hopefully shows what I mean.

Any ideas?

Dan

  1. Steps to recreate the bug
H5P Documentation Tool created in Moodle. Includes Goals and Text Entry field. Activity is Hidden but made available to students. Activity then embedded into Moodle label. When Export Document button is clicked, activity turns white and Text cannot be exported. When not embedded, Export Document works as expected.
  2. Platform you're using: Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle (version number would be helpful as well)
    Moodle 3.3.3
  3. Mobile or Desktop
    Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
    Chrome
  5. H5P plugin version
    2017112800
  6. H5P content type version
    Documentatation Tool 1.5.6
  7. Link to the content.
    I can't provide link as it's on a secure Moodle site :/
  8. Error logs in the browser console (Ctrl+shift+J for Chrome)
    See attached image.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, there is not enough info to understand what exactly is going wrong here.
My best bet is that you have some css in you Moodle theme that is overriding the css for documentation tool, since embedded H5Ps will include the Moodle theme css, so any css rules you have on the page could be causing a conflict here. If you have some developer resources, have them look at the css for the Export Page, otherwise we would need to be able to access the page to determine exactly what is going wrong.

Sorry we can't be of more help at this moment, hope you'll be able to resolve this,
Thomas
