Interactive video not working on iPad nor iPhone

Hi to anyone that may be able to explain why is this happening.

This is wordpress and the issue appears both in Safari and Chrome (according to the reports we've got) when using iPad and iPhone.

H5P version is 1.10.3

On the browser console, we find only this error: "Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://www.youtube.com') does not match the recipient window's origin ('https://www.profedeele.es').

We use a lot of interactive videos on our site. Here is one we recently updated: https://www.profedeele.es/actividad/video/piedrahita-maleta-porsiacasos/ 

If you use Android, Mac or Windows, it will show the video and the activity.

If you use iOS on iPad or iPhone, it will show a message informing that the video is not avaliable. 

This is also happening only with certain videos but no with all of them.

This has been tested in different countries and we are quite sure that is not an issue due to some YouTube policies.

We really don't know why is this now happening.

Hi RevistaHabla,

I can see your issue using my Ipad but I am unable to reproduce it using a content I created. In order to give your bug report the best chance of getting answered, please include the following information:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version: 1.10.3
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Any browser console errors
  8. Any PHP errors
  9. Screenshots if it's a visual problem (attached)
  10. Does this happen to videos that are not hosted in Youtube?

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

1. Create H5P content with Branching Scenario and try interacting with it on iPhone and IPad but the screen is blank and the video is not visible and not playing at all.

2. Wordpress

3. Mobile

4. Checked with Crome and Safari but none of them working.

Hi Suresh,

Did you check if you can view the sample contents in H5P.org? I just tried this and I was able to play the videos. You may want to also include the browser version/s.
