Export and import (h5p.org to h5p.com)

Hi,

1. Is it possible to easily export all contents from h5p.org to h5p.com in one shot (we have near 200 contents on h5p.org)  ?

2. As we use embedded codes on our intranet site, can we keep the id of h5p.org ?

3. By default, the contents import on h5p.com the "Publish" option seems to be "Protected". Is it possible to configured it, by default, to public, then we can use embedded codes ?

4. By default, The contents that we import on h5p.com seems to be own only by the importer, is it possible to configured it, by default, for all collaborators ?

Hi Formation DGRF,

1. This is not possible not yet at least. The H5P.com dev team has plans in creating a program that will do this but I don't think this will be released within the year.

2. Yes you can, your contents will not be deleted. There are plans to turn off embed in H5P.org but only for newly created contents.

3-4. Sorry changing default settings is not possible. I will however inform the dev team of maybe creating this option.

On 5/30/2019 you said "within the year" for a bulk transfer tool.  Any update? I've got a bunch of activities to transfer over to our new .com account!
(Granted, a lot has changed in the last 4 months, I know! But a bulk transfer tool would save me a ton of time.)

Hi ELC-EdTech,

The core development team is currenlty working on the H5P OER Hub, which us quite close to finishing. I am not sure what is scheduled next so I really can't give any additional information on this. I however would suggest that you contact H5P.com support directly by sending an e-mail to [email protected].

I see you have not still have it, but is there any way I can copy the activities I created in .org to .com? I tried the copy and paste but it doesn't work like that... We really need this as we created many activities trying this system for free and then we moved to the pay version so we could have grading integration in Canvas. The activities created in .org do not get the scores into the grading book .... Any help? Please?

Hi Alex,

For security reasons H5P's copy/paste feature cannot be used between 2 different sites. The good news is there is a way to transfer contents from H5P.org to H5P.com and that is import and export your contents.
