Collage creation

Hello, I have a question concerning Collage creation. Maybe i do not see the rigjt content type so I wanted to create a sort of 'jigsaw puzzle' based on this Collage element. But I am limited by number of cards. Is it possible to add more spaces for extra cards? For example I divided my picture into 30 piecies - how could I add more spaces for my game? Thanks, Irina

Hi Irina,

If you need your users to move the images around I think Drag and Drop is better suited for the activity you would like to create. In terms of adding more spaces for collage there needs to be some changes to the code for this to work.

Dear BV52, thanks for your advice to look more seriously at Drag and Drop. I`ll certainly try this option. The reason I wanted to use 'Collage' for my task is that it follows a preview of several thematic pictures. Then students start their work not knowing what they`ll have in the end since NO background picture is displayed. This seems to be more difficult job as the users do not know exactly which of the earlier shown pictures will appear as a result of their efforts. Also such task migjt be effective in work with maps, etc. What changes should be made? And how could I do that? I guess that there is a need to add some additional attributes like Rows and Columns but have no idea how to manage this. Currently I work with LMS Moodle.

Hi Irina,

My coding skills are novice at best but you may check these documentation on making changes to H5Ps.

Dear BV52, I decided to take your advice and tried to create my task in Drag & Drop with images. Though I am also an 'amateur course designer', I work with many apps for educational needs. This time I was completely lost with D & D instructions, could not finish my work with the desired result and feel a bit frusrated. I followed the prescribed steps but still cannot understand how to complete the task. I added the big picture first (see in attachment), then divided it into drop zones and then inserted a related piece of the picture to suit each drop zone. It took a lot of time and effort with Zero result. Do you have any idea what`s wrong with my work? Will be grateful for your advice. Yours, Irina

Hi Irina,

Would you mind attaching the content here. I am not really sure what step is needed to make this work since I can't see the content in action nor the settings.

Dear BV52, I do have only this static picture on my screen, which I have attached below my previous message. I followed your advice with Drag and Drop where I found all the instructions. I tried to  make the same on this site, but due to my failure to create a due content - I just deleted it. Also I did that since any content shall be saved here and become an item of public domain. Anyway, thanks for your support. You are very kind and responsive. Yours, Irina.
