CSS overrides not loaded on embed path - Drupal 8

I have a custom module that loads css to override the default styling like so:

I'm running WordPress multisite (v. 5.2.3) and the H5P plugin (v. 1.14.1). When I click "add new" and select a content type from the content hub I just get an endless spinning wheel while it tries to load the content type (image attached). Any ideas what the cause might be?

So i've scowered the depths of the internet, the questions and answers on here, as well as StackOverflow. I am losing my mind here.
So I'm setting up an OER-Site with WordPress (LearnPress) and I use H5P quite frequently. It's all going pretty well even though it's all been a bit messy, including my code. But everything is working fine.
