Use Image Hotspot in Image Slider

Hey,

(how) is it possible to implement an image hotspot into the image slider tool (like it is on the image hotspot info page with the berries and the map)?

Or is it even Possible to implement an image Hotspot as an image in the image hotspot tool?

I would like to create a worldmap. On this worldmap I would like to display and summarise arround 10 project works. If I use the normal Image Hotspot tool, the Hotspots are too big, so that it is not clear in which country the project was.

My Idea is to use two tools together. If you click on a continent (or the hotspot on the continent) the image of that continent should open with my actual hotspots on there.

Thanks

Hi Jocho,

Welcome to H5P!

I'm sorry but these not possible with the current contents. The closest I can think of is Column, where you can insert multiple image hotspots of the continents that you had had projects in.

Hey BV52,

thank you for your answer.
I tried the Column tool. It works quite allright but its still not what I was expecting.
Is it somehow possible to do it the same as the examples? In the example of the column is three different columns in a slide tool. that would work for me.

Maybe in the future someone could implement, that one can Upload h5p contents as the image hotspot and not only text, images or videos. that would be really handy :)

Hi Jocho,

The example is not a single content but 3 contents and if I'm not mistaken the paging was created separately using HTML.

The other question/suggestion is very helpful. We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful. In order for your feature request to attract as much interest as possible make sure it follows the below guidelines:

  1. It is clear from every perspective how the feature will work. We recommend describing the feature with one or more user stories, for instance “As an author I want it to be possible to pick between different effects for the check answer animation so that the learners will see a variety of effects and also I can adapt the effects to my target audience(I’ll be using pink unicorns which works really well for both my target audience which are 4 year old girls and venture capitalists)”

  2. If the feature can be illustrated with images or videos it always helps

  3. Make it clear what content types this is relevant for, and or if this is a new content type

Make sure you post the feature in the Feature Request forum.
