I have noticed something odd with the scoring of a DRAG & DROP exercise I made for a Hindi course I am helping with. There are 2 DROP ZONES, one with 2 answers and another with 3 answers. I tried making a mistake to test it by dragging all 5 possible answers to just one drop zone. Upon CHECK, the wrong and correct answers were marked correctly as wrong or right, BUT THE SCORE did NOT reflect this. The score showed all 5 as WRONG even though the graphics on the drop zones showed points for 2 correct selections. The FINISH score also showed a 5 point loss. Also, when I selected SHOW SOLUTION, all the other questions showed the correct solution, but when I got to the DRAG & DROP solution, it still showed all 5 answers dragged onto the just one drop zone, but with + marks or - marks. It did not show the correct solution, I mean what I thought would be the correct solution, each answer on its correct drop zone..... I have screen shots of this behavior but I don’t know how to attached them to this comment or if that is possible at all. Sorry.

Drag & Drop in Hindi exercise
Here is a link to the exercise. It is a testing site where we are testing the material before launch. This is an exercise testing a number of sentences taught in a number videos. The problem that I am having is with the very last exercise: JEE. So you have to click to the end so can you get to the last exercise that teaches the item called ”Jee”. That is the one I am having issues with.
I don’t know if you will be able to access this above as I am only a volunteer helping with this couse and I do not know the ins and outs of h5p coding at all, but I can easily access this link so you might too. If you have trouble accessing this, contact me and I will contact the head of the project. He may be able to send you a proper link.
#1 First screen shot shows what happen when I made all the answers wrong.
#2 Second screen shot shows what happened when I selected SHOW SOLUTION. It showed the correct solution for all the other questions expect the last one, it just showed the wrong answers Again.
I know the two photos look the same but they were taken after different actions and different times as described above.

Did exercise again
I did the exercise again, making 4 correct answers & 2 incorrect. But it looks like the scoreing system only gave me 2 points, not 4......
Again, I took 2 photos that look the same.
The first is upon CHECK.
The second is upon SHOW SOLUTION
They seem the same but were taken at different times. The solution is not shown nor is the score correct. But the rest of the other questions get shown the correct solution. This JEE exercise only is having trouble.

Hi Pammellam,Thank you for
Thank you for the additional information, screenshots and website. The scoring conern is actually by design. A positive score is given for every correct answer and negative for incorrect answers (right minus wrong). This was created to avoid users dropping the draggables (if infinite is chosen) to every dropzone to get the full score.
For the solution solution concern, the Drag N Drop activity doesn't have a "show solution" feature because of the complexities that come with it. Multiple matches between draggables and drop zones is one example. There is however an option in the draggables to place a feedback which basically provides the solution. Here's a sample of what I mean, feel free to download it so that you can check the settings.

Scoring calculation method
Thank you for your prompt and detailed reply. I understand the issues. Thank you very much.
I do have a question about the scoring calculation method. The total number of possible points for this one exercise would be 6. In the last set I did, I got 4 correct, 2 wrong. I think the average language student would expect 4 points for this exercise. But your method is to deduct the 2 wrong from the 4 correct, giving the student only 2 points. And that is exactly how it was calculated when I had the score calculated. That is why I thought is odd. BUT,... I wonder, is it possible in the exercise behavior section to give the total possible score and then to use that to calculate the final score. If the total possible points were given as 6 and the students got 2 wrong then the score would be 4. I understand that there are other variables in this exercise, some with infinite answers. But perhaps it would be possible to have two scoring methods one for those that have finite scores as opposed to those that have infinite scores.
I will try to add feedback for this exercise to help the students. This particular exercise is more of a “practice” than a “test” so doing it several times is actually what we would prefer.

Hi Pammellam,There is no
There is no setting available to change how the score is displayed but I think you have a point that the content does need this. I suggest that you head over to the Feature Request forum and post this suggestion.
