Moodle plug-in

Hi,

I'm new to H5P and am enjoying experimenting with it within Moodle 3.5.  I'm having a few problems with the course presentation feature (using the Moodle plug-in).  Buttons when displayed do not display the text associated with them - I have to click on the button to access the text and then the text to access a link (if a button link is created).  This doesn't seem right to me?

Also, when I create an audio file and select the autoplay option this does not seem to work - I have to manually hit play.

Any advice?

Many thanks

Linda

Hi,

I was creating a course presentation at the time and tried experimenting with the button feature.  When I insert a button I simply just get the button image itself (blue with an 'i' in the centre) - no text or no image.  I had assumed that the text (in Title) or image inserted would form the button but I don't think this is the case.  However, to view the text entered or the image one has to then click on the button and then click on the text (in the case of a URL entered) to access the webpage.  Perhaps this is the way it is supposed to function? I think an improvement would be to customise buttons easily (within H5P itself) and once the student clicks on the button they are brought to the content/web page etc.

In terms of autoplay on the audio and video I simply selected 'playback' within the editing feature.

The platform is Moodle 3.5 and I was using Chrome though I am encountering the problems in Firefox.

H5P version may have been 1.2 - I've asked for an upgrade to the latest version.  I will need to confirm this.

I don't have the additional information you are looking for unfortuntely.

Many thanks

Linda

apologies a typo H5P 1.7

Hi Linda,

Thank you for the additional information.

The button issue that you mentioned is actually by design. This helps to maximize every space available in the slide. You are correct though that there should be at least a choice in terms of how you would want it to behave. I suggest that place this suggestion in the Feature Request forum.

For the auto-play feature this is a known bug that happens on the first slide. You can check the report here. Please check and if you are experiencing this for multiple slides I suggest that you upload a copy of your content so that we can check.
