How to create a Pass Word for my pupils ?

Hello,

i just finished to create a content for my pupils but i do not know, now, how to create a specific Pass Word for them (i would like they consult the Content from home - and not only at school) ?

So, i wonder myself how to create a specific Pass Word to them in order to allow them this conection from their house BUT at the same time garantee the fact that they can not change the content i created, using, for example, the Editing function. Indeed, if i give them my own Pass Word, it might be that some rogues want to make some changes in the content i created ... So, how to secure my creations ?

Can someone have an answer ??

Hi Céline,

If you created your contents here in H5P.org your pupils can access the contents even if they do not login to the site. All contents in H5P.org are publicly available and can be accessed without a username/password.

Your post helps me, but i have some questions more :

1) Does it signify that my pupils could change regardless the work i have done just by connecting themselves to the content ?

I mean, will they have access to the Options i had access to (when i created the content) or, are these options forbidden to all Users (in order to empech them to change the work we have done) ?

2) If i want them to connect to the contents i created, i do not have to give them my login (OLwObJC) as you confirmed it in your answer. But, may i give them, at least, the Name/Code of the content in order to allow them to connect to the content, or, does exist another way to find the content ?

dorry for my bad english... it's complicated to explain a problem in a foreign language !

Hi Céline,

1. No they cannot. No one can edit your work except you using your username and password. It is publicly available to find and use but not edit.

2. They can find the content using a search engine but they need to have the title. But it takes time for search engines to "crawl" our site so sometimes a newly created content cannot be search immediately. So the best way to do this is to provide the students the web address for your content.
