Navigation bar in interactive videos
Hi all,
I was wondering if you could include the option to completely hide the video navigation bar when adding interactive videos, particularly where they get added to course presentations. I was overjoyed when I found that I could use the interactive video feature as part of the course presentation, as it meant transparent hotspots were a possibility for moving around a video timeline. My issue is that the interactive video I want to use is based on the same powerpoint template as the rest of my course presentation, so it doesn't feel as seamless when you move into the slide and all of a sudden there is a video navigation bar at the bottom. Perhaps I'm being picky, but I like the idea of using the feature as a seamless transition into a particular part of the course, especially when I want to ensure a visitor has clicked on and read all of the parts of the video before advancing to the next section, something which can be at least emulated by using the interactive video.
thanks,
Fred

Hi FHccc,
This should be possible by checking the option "Prevent skipping forward in a video", this option disables the navigation bar.

Hi BV52, I found that option.
Hi BV52,
I found that option. It does indeed stop a viewer from manually advancing the video but the video navigation bar is still visible. I would like to hide it completely, for better visual impact when it is used as part of a course presentation. Is there a parameter I can alter in the HTML code somewhere?
Thanks,
Fred

Hi Fred,
The easiest way is to use a PHP hook, to add your own CSS-file to the content type. Please visit the Visual Changes page for more details.

In my case "Prevent skipping forward in a video" is not working. I mean, the video navigation bar is not locked. It is visible and it is available.
Thank you!
