Data Persistency in H5P

Hi h5p team,

I am new to h5p and I have a little confusion about one or two things. Is there any way to store my h5p content state?

I want my content state to be saved somewhere so when a user comes back to my website the state should show the previously stored data.

For example, a user expediently closes the browser or close the tab, when he reopens it the content should load from where it was left from so the previous work shouldn't be lost. or else all the work will be gone

Hi atabicumer,

H5P has a feature called "save content state" which you can enable in H5Ps settings (location depends on the platform that you are using). You also need to take note of the following:

  1. It is only available in the plugins for Wordpress, Moodle and Drupal. There are other plugins that were created by community members but I do not have any information if it includes save content state.
  2. Users are logged in. This does not work for contents that are published publicly and can be accessed without logging in.
  3. Save content state is enabled.
  4. The content type supports save content state, below is the list:
  • Column
  • Dialog Cards
  • Dictation
  • Drag and Drop
  • Drag the Words
  • Essay
  • Fill in the Blanks
  • Mark the Words
  • Multiple Choice
  • Questionnaire
  • Quiz (Question Set)
  • Single Choice Set
  • Summary
  • True/False
  • Interactive Video
  • Course Presentation
  • Advanced Fill in the Blanks
