H5P has limit file size for uploading? What the maximum space for all content storage?

We are using Canvas. About interactive video content or all content types. May I know H5P has limit file size for uploading? What the maximum space for all content storage?

Thanks!

Hi Andy,

I apologize for the delayed response.

If you are pertaining to the integration with H5P.com the data transfer and storage limit depends on the size of your license. These limits are set so high that it is rarely ever a concern. Should we ever need to increase these limits, we can at a very modest additional investment. The maximum upload size for a single media element in H5P.com is 2GB.

Great! Thanks a lot for your information, BV!

Cheers.
Andy

In my case, a third party provider is going to sell me specific content in h5p, but I need to pass the .h5p file to me and upload it to my account but it sends me an error, I want to know where I can pay to have more space in my h5p account .

Hi,

I'm getting a bit frustrated. Tutorials on h5p content make it look so easy to handle, but im getting trouble after trouble on my recent attempts. (beginner level, here)

1) Tried creating interactive video content on h5p.com, and though there was a video quality problem, the end product was fine, at least for trying out the features. I've downloaded the h5p file which I want to try loading unto the live moodle site.

2) I tried uploading the h5p file to my moodle on pc (using bitnami moodle 3.7), and it won't take it - something about parameters missing.

3)  I tried creating the content instead on moodle pc, and still had a problem getting the raw video loaded. The video file is in mp4 format- 103mb.

4) I also tried it on the live moodle, after few minutes of loading it failed saying -  file size might be too large. Isn't the max file size at 2GB?

Hi acereviewcenter,

The upload size depends on your settings. You can check this documentation for Moodle: https://docs.moodle.org/310/en/File_upload_size. The 2 GB is the max upload size in H5P.com that is set by the developers of the site.

With regards to the other issues:

  1. parameters missing
  2.  problem getting the raw video loaded

Please provide more details. I would suggest that you follow the format suggested in this forum.
