scroll bar issues?

Hi there,

I am using latex for a course presentation on fractions (H5P.com account). I noticed that sometimes this produces little scrollbars on the text box that I can't seem to get rid of. I've tried all kinds of things to get rid of them with no luck. I'm wondering if there is a max amount of times you can use it per slide?

Thanks,

Kris

Hi Kris,

Would you mind sharing the content here so that we can check?

We're finding it happening primarily when you're trying to put a fraction by itself, instead of with other text. When the page is initially drawn, the dom object for the text is set before MathJax has a chance to render, and once it does, adds the scrollbar to the parent object.

The work around we've found is to avoid leaving a fraction in a text box by itself.

Hi,

I tried to input latex code for some math equations in H5P and it won't render them properly. It will show the whole code as it is when I try to view it.

Hi skrajisnik!

Have you followed the documentation at https://h5p.org/mathematical-expressions?

Best,
Oliver

Yes, I did. Still my equations won't render properly for some reason. I went through all the information and was not able to display it properly. I feel I'm spending so much time on something very simple. Please help. I'm preety familiar with Latex. I created an H5P activity and upload it into Libraries in Pressbooks. I need help on uploading the activity from the library into Pressbooks.

Hi!

I am not familiar with how H5P is integrated into Pressbooks, sorry. If you were using one of regular H5P plugins, I'd first try to make sure that the H5P.MathDisplay library is in fact installed in the latest version: So, what version do you have installed?

Best,
Oliver
