H5p on two LMS: verification code and profs

I understand that if your institution has H5p integrated in two LMS systems (both Brightspace - D2L) (for example, we connect H5p to both our Employee PD LMS and our Academic LMS), accessing an H5p activity in one system causes an email to be sent to the user with a verification code.

We've discovered that if the individual receiving the email just wants  to view an activity, they are promped to log in.

However, if a professor has 1) completed an H5p activity in a PD course in the Employee PD system then 2) wants to create their first H5p activity within our Academic LMS, the get both an email, with verification code, and an error message after clicking on the "H5p Quicklink" to launch H5p in D2L.

There is no obvious place for the prof to put the verification code.

Therefore, profs are stuck here and can't create activities in the Academic Brightspace.

How do we resolve this?

Thanks!

Louisa

Hi Louisa,

Just to clarify when you mentioned "completed an H5p activity in a PD course in the Employee PD system" does this mean they used the content or they created it?

The profs "completed" the H5p activiy in the PD course first, THEN tried to "create" an H5p activity in the Academic LMS but saw the error message and received the verification code email.

Hi Louisa,

Thank you for the clarification. I copied the H5P.com development team for further investigation and they should get back to you in a few hours once they are in the office.

Hi Louisa,

The H5P.com development team is still looking into this and they will get back to you within 24 hours.

Hi Louisa,

We have sent you an email regarding this.

We now utilise 3 separate h5p orgs across 3 separate LMS instances, and content creators have just started receiving the confirmation code issue also.

Is there a work-around?  Or is this normal behaviour, and after the code has been submitted, this is the end of it?

Hi,

This is a normal behaviour and once the code has submitted they should not receive the prompt anymore.
