Multiple accounts
I have been a free account member for years and have content I use in my teaching. My account is in my real name & my university email address.
After years of asking, my institution has finally adopted H5P into our LMS (Canvas).
Good news so far right? Well, my problem/question is that when I go to add H5P content in Canvas it prompts me to make a new account. I asked my institution support staff and they told me this was necessary I would just have to share the content from my old account with the new one. But I've been scared to make the new account as it will have the same name and email address! I can't see how this will work. Someone reassure me please?

Hi Wednesday,
You will not have any issues since H5P.org and H5P.com are on different servers. And because of this the accounts cannot be merge. You need to export then import your contents from H5P.org to H5P.com. You can read more about exporting/importing content in this documentation.

another question sorry
I've started using my institution h5p.com account, but I don't see the option to create my favourite content type, Agamotto. I found I can download it from h5p.org then upload and edit in h5p.com, but is that awkward workaround really necessary? What am I missing?
Thanks for your time.

Thank you Otacke
It really is the most useful to me in creating interactive images for my students. Juxtapos is good, but Agamotto allows me create animations they can step through at their own pace and diagrams they can explode to view the parts and ... really endless possibilities.
I am still awaiting an answer from my institution (Swinburne University) about having it made more available, but as a UX teache, I have a theory about why they excluded it. in introducing H5P to staff who are not familiar with it, my guess is they wanted the list of options to be easy to understand and navigate, supporting adoption.
Agamotto is very near the top of the alphabetic list, and isn't self explanatory in the way "arithmetic quiz" & "audio recorder" are. This is just a guess to the reasoning. Regardless I'm trying to get the decision reconsidered because of the value of your product.

So I was wrong about that
Response I got:
The reason why some content types are not defaulted is because they may not be fully responsive, or they may not currently meet accessibility standards. We are working to assess those content types and features and hope to have new updates soon.
if I can get any specifics can pass along

Hi Wednesday,
I concur, you can reference this documentation for additional information. AFAIK the reason why Agamotto is not enabled by default is that it is not maintained by the developers of the H5P core team outside of that accessibility and responsiveness is not a problem. And knowing Oliver he makes sure that everything is working before releasing his content types.

Hi all!
I give my best :-D
However, I understand that the label "not maintained by the H5P core team" might suggest that a particular content type is some kind of risk, as in fact there are some content types by external contributors that are not maintained anymore (e. g. Personality Quiz, Image Sequencing, Find the Words or Find Multiple Hotspots). Maybe some other form of label might help here (e. g. "maintained by the H5P core team", "maintained by external contributor", "not maintained anymore", "unknown") if there's some feasible form of keeping track of that information.
Cheers,
Oliver

Hi Wednesday,
If you are the administrator for the account you can enable the content by going to Site Administration -> Settings -> Content type settings. Most likely Agamotto has the allow import enabled but not the "Allow" option. Please contact the admin of the account if you are not an admin to have this enabled for you.

Thanks for your typically quick response.
I am not an admin, but that makes sense to me. I will talk to my institution to see if this setting can be enabled.
