support for nanoo.tv as a source for videos in h5p-video
I'm working at Werft22 AG, the company behind nanoo.tv. We provide a film platform used by many schools in Switzerland.
Many of our customers have asked us for a way of making nanoo.tv videos interactive using h5p. We have developed a patch that does this.
Tobias Reischmann, the developer of the patch has added a pull request to the h5p-video project on Github: https://github.com/h5p/h5p-video/pull/51, and I commented on it, but we have not gotten any reaction.
I'd therefore like to ask if this was the correct way to do this (and we just need some patience), or if there is something else we can do.
Thank you very much!
Kind regards,
Andreas Trottmann

Hi Andreas,
Thank you for your contribution. Yes this is a way to do this. The H5P core team just need to find some time to review and test this before it can be added. When you may ask that I cannot say but I will reach out to them to at least take a quick look at the PR.

It seems users must pay to access these videos. It is hard to give priority to this pull request. We typically give priority to major video providers where users themselves upload their videos.

h5p-video supports panopto,
h5p-video supports panopto, which is a commercial product. While nanoo.tv is currently focused on Switzerland, its used in many schools. I completely understand your priorities, but would like to ask whether there is anything we can do to make it as little work as possible for you.

videos at the online-library nanoo.tv are uploaded by users
Hi Falcon
In the mentioned online video library for schools - nanoo.tv - the users - teachers - mainly K12 - are the ones uploading the videos. It ist not the platform provider. So far this user base has uploaded more than 300'000 videos already. A growing number of users ask us to provide an interactive video feature and we wish to offer this with h5p. I am a teacher myself and can fully support this. I also work for the UX project team.
Here the history in Github: https://github.com/h5p/h5p-video/pull/51
We will send out a communication to our user base in the last week of october and plan to mention - amongst other topics - the H5P integration. Therefore: thanks for letting us know what is left to be done to make it happen.
best regards
Anita

Hi, I did believe that the videos were licensed videos provided by the platform provider. Thank you for clearifying.
Panopto was highly requested by major H5P users including several H5P.com customers who funds the development of H5P. The integration itself was also funded by an H5P.com customer, and the integration has been requested by many members of the H5P community. We have not had the same demand for nanoo.tv.
