Captions for Youtube videos in Interactive Videos

Hi,

I've been going through many of the previous posts regarding how to add closed captions to a youtube video in H5Ps interactive videos. What I did was upload the Youtube link, download its subtitle file in VTT, then upload it into the text track. It only worked on one youtube video but will not work on any other ones.. and I am bewildered why? Does anyone have any clues/tips, or perhaps a better/different way to add captions? Thanks in advance!

Hi sonji1,

For YT videos VTT files uploaded into the the H5P editor (I'm suprised you were able to make it work on one content). YouTube does not serve the automatically created captions to external players. You'll have to manually create the captions for the specific language on YouTube -- which will be filled with the automatic transcript by default.
