Add inline audio recorder consistently across relevant content types.

The inline audio recorder is a handy way to add audio clips to various activities.  It already exists in some content types.  Would it be possible to add it to others?

Activity types without an inline audio recorder:

  • Dialog Cards
  • Crossword
  • Audio
  • Course Presentation

Thank you for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! There are developers in the community who every now and then work on a feature they find interesting or useful. You can also help by developing or help (crowd) fund the development of this feature.

I am sorry, but it's currently only possible to add the Audio Recorder Widget to H5P's internal "audio widget" that's only used to upload audio files (as in Memory Game or Dictation). When the H5P.Audio library is used (in particular as one option among many other content types) however, then there's no solution for that so far. So, this would not work for Crossword or Course Presentation (or Advent Calendar or Cornell Notes or ...).

The solution would actually be to add the Audio Recorder Widget to the H5P.Audio library which itself uses H5P's internal "audio widget", so it would then automatically be available in other content types that use H5P.Audio in the proper version. There's a pull request for that already that's actually a very tiny change, but I can't tell if or when that might be taken care of.
