Interactive Video not working on Android Mobile

Hi,

We are making an interactive video for the Royal Parks in London.
We made a small demo which works fine on a desktop computer but not on the  android devices i have access to,
A google Pixel 4a and a Huwai Table, both using Chrome.  I have not tested it on an iPhone yet so it might not work there either

You can see it here
https://h5p.org/node/1282746?feed_me=nps

We also made a copy on our own server here
http://royalparksdf.s3-website.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/pond.html

I have atatched a copy of the H5P files

Any help much appreciated, as we really need it to work accross all platforms

All the best,

Andrew Lees

Hi Andrew,

In order to give your bug report the best chance of getting answered, please include the following information:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen): Please elaborate on "which works fine on a desktop computer but not on the  android devices". Not working can be different things ie. video does not play, when I click on this instead of doing this it does this or it doesn;t do anything, scores are not generated etc.
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Any browser console errors
  8. Any PHP errors
  9. Screenshots if it's a visual problem

If it worked before:

  1. Any recent changes to the environment (new plugins/modules, updates, configuration changes etc.)
  2. Any recent changes to the browser you're using (new extensions, updates etc.)

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

Hi
Quite a lot of the infomation is not relevant  as i said in my original post the bug happens when you create the interactive in H5P.org website.

You can see it here
https://h5p.org/node/1282746?feed_me=nps

So it is nothing to do with my setup

To answer your specific questions

1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen): Please elaborate on "which works fine on a desktop computer but not on the  android devices". Not working can be different things ie. video does not play, when I click on this instead of doing this it does this or it doesn;t do anything, scores are not generated etc

By not working a i mean nothing happens when you click on the hotspots that is the  duck, fish or pondweed, when you use an android devise (pixel 4a or Huwai Tablet

2 .Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.

4 Browser Chrome

5 H5P plugin version
As i said it happens on H5P.org

6

6 H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P
I put a url earlier https://h5p.org/node/1282746?feed_me=nps

Hi!

That's a bug that I have fixed in https://github.com/h5p/h5p-interactive-video/pull/255. I don't know, however, if and when the H5P core team will merge the change in and release it.

Cheers,
Oliver

Thanks Oliver, that's brilliant.  Yes if i un mute the sound it works normally

I had accidentally ticked the deactive sound box

Hi Madivs,

Are you referring to the same issue that you posted here? If so I suggest that you try the steps I provided. Also please avoid cross posting in the forums especially on threads with unrelated issues.

Sorry, I meant to just affirm that I also tried updating the features, but it keeps on saying update now after.
Only reason I cross referenced was because I thought maybe there was a bug fix in a newer release, and since mine is not properly updating it is the reason Im still having problems?
