New Content Type: H5P.Diagram

Hello,

I would like to request a review of my new content type H5P.Diagram and get developer access so I can publish it to the H5P Hub.

H5P.Diagram lets authors create clean, responsive Euler/Venn diagrams and Pyramid diagrams with customizable labels, colors, tooltips, and hover highlighting. These two diagram types are just the starting point. I plan to add additional diagram types in future releases.

This content type focuses specifically on diagrams, not charts. It is not intended to replace or overlap with the existing H5P Chart content type.

I have also created H5PEditor.Diagram, a companion editor library that provides a live preview widget and an intuitive interface for configuring Euler/Venn diagram intersections.

The two libraries need each other to work together. H5P.Diagram is the runtime content type and generates the final diagram shown to learners. H5PEditor.Diagram is the editor extension that enhances authoring tools for this content type. I also attached the H5P file that includes both libraries.

I would appreciate any feedback and access to publish this to the Hub.

Hi Ethan!

I think it might help if you use "How to review H5P content types" to give your code a first review yourself. You'll find a couple of things you could improve before a formal review even starts (and would most likely mention anyway).

And by the way, just if you got a different impression: You will not be able to publish things on the H5P Hub yourself. Any release and even the tiniest of updates needs to be run by H5P Group.

Good to know. I got that impression based on the post at https://h5p.org/node/59, which is dated 12 years ago. So, most likely outdated. Thanks!

No, not really outdated. It has never been any different, so just wrong or misleading. I once received some extra rights here on h5p.org which allowed me to set some parameters for the example files of content types that I have created, but I never ever was able to change anything related to my content types on the H5P Hub despite being promised multiple times that this should be possible soon. And after D2L purchased H5P Group, even these extra rights on h5p.org were removed from my account.

If you have an update of your content type, you can create a ticket in H5P Group's JIRA system. And then you wait a couple of weeks or months until someone feels it's time to do something about it. That is, if you your content type made it to the H5P Hub to begin with. I have a couple of content types that have been in the review queue for years now. I think the oldest request for review that is still open dates back to 2018. You can try to bug them, but that never really helped.
