Full screen issue in interactive video types shown with interactive book

Hi, I am enjoying creating H5P content in cooperation with many Korean teachers in Moodle 3.9.2 version. In the process of creating content, I find that full screen mode in interactive book content type is not effective as shown below or in the attached file. I expected that if I enable full screen mode, I would see a bigger interactive video but it did not happen. Is there any option I can make full screen option work as I expect. It is important because students may want to see full screen to follow what instructors say in the video. In general, interactive book content type is wonderful, but a few UI update would make this type perfect.Thank you.

Hi totoro,

I filed a bug report regarding this issue.

Hi all!

I don't think this has anything to do will going to fullscreen and is rather intended behavior than a bug: The maximum width of the content seems to have been set to 1058 pixels deliberately (cmp. https://github.com/h5p/h5p-interactive-book/blob/master/src/styles/_pagecontent.scss#L28). So, it's not a bug, but I am not saying it needs to stay this way.

@BV: The issue with Agamotto has been fixed in the latest version, but the H5P core team is still shipping an older version that has other issue, too.

Best,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Thanks! I'll inform the core team regarding Agamotto.

Hi, BV52, do you think the full screen issue in the interactive book type will be solved anytime soon? The users will feel awkward with current full screen mode option. Thank you.

Hi totoro,

I don't have any timelines on when this will be "fixed". The core team are still in the process of finishing the H5P OER hub and would probably start checking PRs, bugs etc. once the hub is released.

How can I move to fullscreen in a video embedded on an Interactive Book?

Hi!

As far as I recall, you will not be able to send subcontent to fullscreen in general. That's because some browser vendors (aka Apple with Safari/their webkit enging on iPhones) cannot send arbitraty page elements (like subcontent of an H5P content type) to full screen but only the whole screen.

One could think of workarounds for that may come with other issues.

Best,
Oliver
