Private content

Forums:
I've had a look and it looks as though you can't make content private, is this correct? The reason I'm asking is because I want to create some interactive content for our students who pay for a course on our WordPress LMS. If the content is freely accessible this means anyone can view my content without paying
Thanks

It is correct. You can make it private using other Drupal modules and I think other WordPress plugins as well but by default it isn't private.
Are you using H5P.org to create the content by the way? Do note that there is a plugin for WordPress so that you can create it on your own site instead.

Thanks for that suggestion,
Thanks for that suggestion, that could be a way of keeping content private on our servers using Wordpress. I was going to create in on H5P but like you say it would be open by default to people.

Hello, I would like to know if H5P works the same on WordPress? I am browsing right now and would love to make my learning content private, but I also love the way H5P works. Thank you :)

Hi Soukaina,
Let me also add that by hosting your own content you are not limited to 16MB (limit in H5P.org) upload size for videos and images. You can also retrieve the scores from the activities that you create, if you are interested in this a visit to these pages is a good start:

Hi Exile Press,
This is possible if you host your own content trough Moodle, Wordpress or Drupal. You can also sign up for a subscription on H5P.com which provides options on how you would like to publish your content.

Private Content on Wordpress
Hi, I'm not sure I understand correctly about privacy. If we use the Wordpress Hp5 plug in on our site- would the content be private unless we made it public or is it also somewhere public as well even if our Wordpress site itself is private? We make a combination of public and private content. Thanks!

Hi Shawna,
The content will be saved in your servers. Having said this it will be what you set it up to be, if you set it up to be private it will be private, public if set to public. In other words you have full control over your contents.

H5P private content on Wordpress.org
Hi, we have the H5P plugin installed on our Wordpress.org and are creating content on it. Is there a way (plugin, etc.) to make the content private and accessible only for the Wordpress administrators? We would like to hide the H5P content to some users (contributors). Thank you!

When using the Wordpress
When using the Wordpress plugin + Bluehost, do you know whether hosting the videos on our own server (e.g. just uploaded video within Wordpress plugin) for interactive videos will cause the site to run slow compared to using a Vimeo Pro link?
And if that does result in it being slow, does using the Vimeo Pro link to create the H5P content mean that anybody can download the content? I read on another forum thread that the type of link created within Vimeo Pro allows anybody with the link to download the content.
I would go for the H5P.com hosted option but it seems quite expensive at $57 per month - same cost as Bluehost for a year.
Thanks
