Good afternoon,

If you help me answer this question I'd be REALLY grateful:

On many slides within my 'Course Presentation' I centre justify text using the text editor.  I then save and update the page (I'm using H5P with Wordpress and the Sensei LMS).  When I return to the page to check my content the centred text is always justified to the left.  No matter how I seem to try and make the text centre-justified it always reverts back to left-justified on saving.  Do you know why this is and how I can correct this error please as my client is demanding text that is centre-justified.  Getting a bit stressed about it.

Many thanks

Hi,

Is this happening for regular text content (the T-icon on the toolbar), or are you e.g. using one of the question types? I have tested it for text, and I am not able to reproduce what you are seeing.

Hi, thanks for repling and testing it for yourself.  Appreciate it.

It's happening for ALL text.  So, whenever I add text to a slide using the T-icon, if I centre justify then save/update the text automatically shifts to left-justified when I review.....no matter what.  I'd send you a screenshot but I'm not sure that would add any value!

Hi, would you be able to do the following in chrome:

  1. Right click on the now left justified text
  2. Press inspect
  3. Take a screenshot of the style

Here's an example:

Hi Tim,

Apologies for the delay in replying, Friday is a non-working day for me.  I've attached a screenshot.  Hopefully this is what you need but please shout if I need to do anything else.  Thank you so much for looking at this.

By the way, I'm using Firefox.  I'm wondering it this bug would be fixed if I used, say, Chrome?  Never thought.  I'm going to try this out now so if it DOES work I'll be sure to message you straightaway so I don't waste your time.  Thanks again, Heather

Hi Heather,

I wasn't able to reprocuce the bug. One possibility is that the text was pasted in retaining its style.

Just to isolate the problem, would you be able to install h5p on a basic wordpress site (without Sensei LMS)?

Hi Tim,

Thanks so much for looking at this.  The text I've created has been written from scratch (i.e the first time it was generated was whilst using H5P Course Presentation), so it han't been pasted from elsewhere in this case.  Not sure if this makes a difference?

I have my own WP site so will try and install H5P on that.  Just need to find my login details for WP.  Please can I get back to you when I've done this?

Cheers,

Heather

Hi Tim,

I just installed H5P on myown WP website and tried centring text.  Have attached a screenshot but it seems to be working fine.  So, if it's working on my own webiste fine, but not on the WP site of my client, do you know what I can do to rectify this?  I'm basically the content person (not very technical) so if you have any recommendations please can yu let me know and I can ask the technical person if they can help me?

Many thanks, Heather

Hi Heather,

that's great that you got it working on your own site. I would forward this thread to the technical people and it should give them enough information to figure what to do.

Hi there,

Yes, this is also an issue for me with text not centering in text input questions. I will seek to center the instruction for the questions above the input box, but after centering and saving, the text returns to the left. I'm using it in WP.

As you can see in the screenshot, I can't get the above text to center up no matter what.

Regards,

Timothy

Hi,

I've had a go at reproducing the error on a fresh Wordpress install and can't seem replicate it.

I am assuming that it may have something to do with the theme you're using as it may override the settings in Course Presentation. Would you be able to test it with a new theme?
