Virtual Tour (360)

Since Google is shutting down their VR Tour Creator I was wondering whether it was possible to add guided tour functionality to the Virtual Tour (360) content type. So that teachers could center views, play audio, open text content, etc.

I think that would be an awesome addition.

Is there a way to use Virtual Tour 360° with panoramas that are not the full 180° in vertical? At the moment those panos are just streched to the full 180°, which obviously leads to unwanted distortions... Any advice? Thanks!

Does spherical images work as 360-images in Virtual tour 360? I plan on using a Ricoh Theta SC2 360 camera and it takes spherical jpeg-images. I read that Virtual Tour uses equirectangular images.
