Include short keypad for non-Roman characters

nicohebb's picture

Hello !

Thank you for this amazing tool ! I am a professor of french and I love to use H5P.

I was wondering if it was possible to include a little keypad for a selection of non-roman caracters. As an example, with an english keyboard, it is difficult to add those very common letters in french : à ; ç ; é ; è ; ù ; ö

Could it be possible to add a feature like this ? This way, we could simply click on the missing sign to automatically add it in the Fill in the Blank spot, for example.

Thanks a lot !

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

Thank you for the suggestion. How do think this should be implemented?

Hello ! Thank you for your answer.

I see it as a configurable keyboard that would allow to type accented characters in the active text field as, for example, in Duloingo or HotPatatoes activities.

See, an example in the last picture attached or in this one from Duolingo.

Thank youDuolingo keyboard

Hi Nicolas,

Thank you for elaborating and the screenshot :-) . I think this can help a lot of users that would require to use characters that are not readily available on our "regular" keyboards.

correct answer is 32 11/16. It doesn't seem to be recognizing the ' / '.
