Chrome Audio Record Microphone Not Supported

  1. Access the H5P for audio recorder via Chrome but it says my microphone is not supported (even though I've gone through the settings and selected microphone).
  2. Wordpress 4.9.3
  3. Tablet iPad (works fine on desktop)

Hi. I tested these two pages on iPhone and ipad tablets and got the same errors (microphone not supported error). I now it doesn’t work on Safari so I tried Chrome, Edge, and Firefox but got the same errors. The Page works on desktop but not on tablet or phone.

Hi cwhlin,

The appstore policies state:

Apps that browse the web must use the iOS WebKit framework and WebKit Javascript.

 

So in a nutshell the Chrome and other browsers in Ipad uses most of the technology that Safari uses. Unfortunately this limitation is also the reason why these browsers will not work with this content in Ipad/iOS.

What would you advice ? 
I face with this problem too. Most of my students are using iphone and they can't use audio recording ..

Hi Ivrika,

I'm sorry but as of the moment there's nothing we can do about this. The content is not supported by Safari.
