Including an audio recording in the text Editor

Hi there,

I've just discovered the world of H5P and I am in love already!

While I start playing around with all the different modules, I have a question (maybe a feature request!).

For what I can see, the Audio Recorder module (and the other modules that allow users to record themselves), will create a temporary recording that is gone undless downloaded.

We use an LMS system that has Assignments where students can type their own essay or, in most cases, include a recording of themselves.
Right now we have to ask students to record the audio with their own software, then upload it to the Assignment. Or, use an online recorder like SpeakPipe and then paste the link in the Assignment they submit.

It would be awesome to make this process easier for our users. Since the Assignment shows the user the standard Wordpress Text Editor, I wonder if there is a way to have users record themselves and then automatically have that recording included in the submitted assigment.

Similar to what this Moodle plugin can do https://moodle.org/plugins/tinymce_recordrtc

Thanks in advance,
much appreciated!

Hi italymadeeasy,

Thanks a lot for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful.

hi and thanks!

Love the idea of voting and funding ideas!

I gather so that what I described in my original message is currently not possible. Correct?
I have a programmer in my team and could get started on this, if you have any tips or documentation etc.

Cheers

Hi italymadeeasy,

These documentation provides basic steps in creating/editing contents and how the structure of H5P looks like.
