Browser issues with Exportable Text Area and Documentation Tool

Hi,

I've created a Course Presentation using the Exportable Text Area feature and also a similar exercise with the Documentation tool. Both work fine with Google Chrome (and also Internet Explorer), but they don't seem to work with Firefox nor with Safari. Whenever I get to the "Export your text" page and click on the button, nothing happens. With the Documentation Tool exercise, the Submit button also does not push through any activity either. I've tried Firefox on both PC and a Macbook Pro and have the same result (or lack thereof). I've checked the settings for both browsers and couldn't detect anything that might prevent the download of the document. The Firefox version is 70.0.1 on both computers. Safari's version is 12.1 on a 2015 Macbook Pro running on Mojave.

Thanks for looking into this.

Hi SN_Litti,

Where are you creating your contents? I tried the documentation tool sample and it works as expected.

Hi BV52,

Thanks for the quick response. I created the contents on H5P.com, using Chrome on a PC - is that you what you meant when you asked where I'm creating the content?

Hi Simin,

Yes that is what I meant and thank you for reporting this. I filed a bug report and you can follow the progress here.

Hi BV,

Thanks for filing the bug report. Do you have any idea how long this might take to fix?

We were hoping to use this next week...

Or alternatively, do you have a tip for me how to recreate the objects I made so they work on browsers other than Chrome and IE (as you mentioned earlier that it initially worked for you).

Cheers

Simin

Hi Simin,

I would have to ask the development team of H5P.com. I should be able to give you some feedback within 24 hours since they are not yet in the office.

Thanks BV, I'll be patient and keep an eye out for updates. We're in New Zealand here, always awake while the rest of the world is sleeping ;)

Hi Simin,

Sorry for the delay. I'll check with them later. There might be some urgent tasks or deadlines they needed to finish yesterday.

Hi Simin,

The development team is looking into it now. We should get another update tomorrow.

Hi Simin,

Sorry for the delay. The development team is now working on a fix and it should be ready before the next H5P.com release. Although I am not sure when this would be.
