When I choose "add new" and then use the H5P content hub to get the course presentation the editor does not load, I just get a spinning wheel with "loading, please wait" (see screenshots). It doesn't matter if I try to make it from scratch or upload an existing presentation. The error occurs on https://module13.ca and not on any of my other WordPress multisites.

  • Wordpress v. 5.2.1
  • Desktop
  • Firefox 67
  • H5P 1.13.1
  • when I click H5P libraries in WP I have 2 course presentations listed: 1.16.0 and 1.20.4
  • For all H5P content types I get a statement like this in the browser console "The script from “https://module13.ca/courses/files/h5p/libraries/H5PEditor.CoursePresenta...” was loaded even though its MIME type (“text/plain”) is not a valid JavaScript MIME type."
  • The only difference I can really see between this WPMS and others I have is that this one also uses the H5P mods plug-in https://github.com/jrdingwall/h5pmods-wordpress-plugin (the plug in worked fine a few months ago, I just noticed the error I'm having in the plast few weeks)
  • see screenshots

Thanks for any help you can provide!

1.        Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)

I already had Moodle 3.6 and  I installed H5P plugin but it showed “Loading please wait” error. Then I upgraded my Moodle to version 3.8 and again installed the H5P plugin but was faced with the same problem.

2.        Platform and version number - Moodle 3.8

3.       Desktop

4.        Browser: I tried in Opera, Chrome and Firefox but was faced with the same problem

5.       H5P plugin version – 1.20.1

6.       H5P content type – I tried making an Interactive video. The size of video is 23 MB but it didnt upload and this meassge came. I waited for 30 mins but still the same message.

7.         Any browser console errors - No

8.         Any PHP errors - No

9.         Screenshots if it's a visual problem - I have attached Screenshot.

Kindly help me in this regard. Thanks in advance.

Hi!

You wrote:

7.         Any browser console errors - No

8.         Any PHP errors - No

Especially 7 is hard to grasp given your description. Could you please add a screenshot of the console?

Best,

Oliver

I had the same bug on Wordpress using LearnDash. The H5P Interactive Video & Course Presentation editors showed a constant  “Loading please wait” screen when the H5P Mods plugin was added. When I deactivate the H5P Mods plugin the editors for existing and new content work again.

Hi Mohawk!

A screenshot is really not helping in any way here. You should check the browser's developer console (usually opened by pressing F12, sometimes ctrl-shift-j or ctrl-shift-i) and the PHP error log. Since you mentioned the H5P mods plugins, it's very likely that the source of the issue is some customization going wild in there.

Best,

Oliver

Thanks Otacke and Helen for reaching out.

After trying so many options, i finally re-installed both Moodle 3.8 and H5P plugin and everything seems working now!

I used Interactive Content in my Moodle page. I opened H5P hub to get the "Interactive Video" successfully. But when I clicked on the button "Use", It said "Loading, please wait..."  for over 30 minutes. Please help
