Remove submit screens - Interactive videos

Hi,

I've just upgraded my Interactive video library and the new "submit screens" feature is not something I'd like to use. Is there any way to remove the green star that appears in the video so users don't have to submit the answers?

Thanks!

Hi bablingua,

Yes this is possible. Highlight the default submit screen indicator on the left of the star icon and click on the "x".

Hi I am having this problem and your solution worked for one of the submit screens I had accidentally placed in the timeline. However there is another one that appears when reviewing the video, and the marker is in the timeline but seems inactive, ie, there is no text indicator for it and no way to remove it.  I  have attached an image of the affected part of the timeline.  HIghlighting the marker does not work.

I need to get rid of it urgently as I have to use this for a staff PD session in a few days and there is no grading or submission required.  Thanks in anticipation

Hi CLT_ANU,

If you click on the star icon you should see a list of submit screens in your content. Clicking on the one you want to delete should also show you thr small pop-up with the 'x'. if this does not work would you mind sharing the content so that we can check.

Hi bablingua,

First of all let me say that you plug in is great!!

I use interactive videos successfully but i like to know if there is a way to remove the final confirmation window after the answers submission.

I ask this beacuse the final windows stops the video until the user close the windows: it should be better to have just the "send answers" button and then restart automatically the video.

Thank you

Carlo

Hi Carlo,

This is not possible with the current features of Interactive Video but you can post a feature request. In order for your feature request to attract as much interest as possible make sure it follows the below guidelines:

  1. It is clear from every perspective how the feature will work. We recommend describing the feature with one or more user stories, for instance “As an author I want it to be possible to pick between different effects for the check answer animation so that the learners will see a variety of effects and also I can adapt the effects to my target audience(I’ll be using pink unicorns which works really well for both my target audience which are 4 year old girls and venture capitalists)”

  2. If the feature can be illustrated with images or videos it always helps

  3. Make it clear what content types this is relevant for, and or if this is a new content type

Make sure you post the feature in the Feature Request forum.

For some reason, a submit screen has appeared at 4:05 where the video is only 2:27 minutes long. How can I remove the submit screen at 4:05? (Can not use the answer in comment-21620, since the submit screen is beyond the timeline)

Hi Baris,

This happens when the Interactive Video initially was using a longer video and was changed to a shorten one. To remove it you need to temporarily upload/use a longer video.

Hello,

When the user sent the answers, a black dialogo window appears and it is necessary to close this windows manually. This fact create a little bit confusion in the user, does there is a way to make automatic the progression after to submitted the answers?

It would be interesting to set an option to make active the automatic forward, without an action by the user.

Please, can you tell me if there is a trick the get automatic progression?

Thank you

Hi, if you've added a submit screen and want to delete it. Select it in the green star menu at far right of timeline, then quickly mouse over it, or it will disappear after 2 seconds. Then just hit the x on the right to delete it.
