Alternate Answers for Flashcards

Hello!

I'm requesting a tweak to the awesome flashcards. I love using them for my classes, except for one thing. There's no way to accept multiple answers as correct. For example, if the correct answer is "gold," I'd like to also accept "yellow" or "golden" as correct responses. I assume that should be pretty easy to add, since that option (alternate responses) is available on several other H5P activities, typically by separating alternate answers with brackets, braces, slashes, etc. If we could add this to the flashcards, that would be wonderful!

Thansk so much,

Tiffany

Hi Tiffany,

Thank you for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful.

Please, this option would be REALLY necessary!!!
thx

That would be very helpful.

This is basically a must-have for various purposes. Please implement this!

Hi!

There's already a pull request for that feature (https://github.com/h5p/h5p-flashcards/pull/43), but I don't know when the H5P core team will come around to reviewing it.

Best,

Oliver

That is great, Oliver & thanks for the implementation! Honestly I do not understand why the core team is so slow with reviewing pull requests for features taht have been requested so often...

Hi Robin!

The H5P core team is small and they are giving away H5P for free, so they have to make sure to put everything on solid ground financially. That also means to give higher priority to things that actually mean an income before pull requests contributed by the community can be reviewed. It doesn't matter how often a feature is requested if there's no funding somewhere to back up the work that comes with bringing it to life.

Best,

Oliver
