Audio in H5P Presentation for Moodle

Hello,

when I set up a presentation in H5P, I can easily add an audio file for each slide. However, there is apparently no way for the students to navigate the audio file within one slide (i.e. go back a few seconds or skip to a later part of the file). I've just used Power Point with Audio Files in the previous semester and there this is easily possible in the embedded player. Is there any way to implement this in H5P?

Thanks and best regards,

Birgit Götzinger

Hi Birgit,

This is possible by changing the player mode from "minimalistic" to "full".

Thanks a lot for the very fast response. I had tried that already, however in "full" mode I can only decrease or increase the speed of the audio file, but I can not go back to an earlier point in the file or skip to a later part. Could this be related to my browser (Firefox)? For videos I have this bar, where I can skip forward and backward, but for audios I don't have that. I've attached the menu for the full audio player (it's in german, if you would need it in english, just tell me and I can see what I can do).

Thanks again and best regards, Birgit Götzinger

Hi Birgit,

The audio object may be too small. You can check my sample content here, I've expanded it so that the "seek" bar is shown.

Thanks a lot, that really saved my day! Apart from this player issue, my test student was very happy with my first H5P digital lecture - now I'm very excited to keep on digitalizing (hopefully on a higher level than in the previous semester). I will also post your solution to the teaching forum at our university, since more and more of my colleagues are starting to use H5P.

Best regards, Birgit

Thanks for the fast response. I had tried that already, but also the "full" player does not allow to skip backwards and forwards within the audio file, instead you can only decrease or increase the speed of the audio file. I would really appreciate it, if there was a kind of slider (similarly to what you have for videos), where you could jump to a certain time point in the audio file. Is there any way to implement this?

Thanks and best regards,

Birgit

I have used course presentation, and Single choice set for a line of questions. It appears as one slide, with several sections. I manage to add audio files, but not sorted in each question. I need helpful instructions of how to do this. Or if I have to use another solutions for questions wich I can add an audiofile to. Sissel
