Interactive Videos are Bouncing When They Play

Bugs in content types

I created interactive videos using Lumi and then using Moodle's H5P plugin. When I or my students play the video on Moodle, it bounces/shakes. This is happening in Chrome and on laptops and desktops. It doesn't seem to happen on tablets. I have a video of it shaking that I don't seem to be able to upload here. Our IT admin does not see any problems with our coding, so I suspect it is the H5P plugin.

Hi lebookout,

I'm not really sure what you meant with "bouncing", I suggest that you upload the video on a file sharing site and share the link here. Also I suggest that you provide the information below:

  1. Moodle version
  2. Browser version/s
  3. H5P plugin version
  4. H5P content type and version

If it worked before:

  1. Any recent changes to the environment (new plugins/modules, updates, configuration changes etc.)
  2. Any recent changes to the browser you're using (new extensions, updates etc.)

Moodle cloud. I am using Chrome as are my students. H5P plugin for interactive video is about all I know.

Moodle cloud. Chrome Version 88.0.4324.182 (Official Build) (64-bit). h5p plugin on Moodle interactive video. It never played properly.

This may be related to https://h5ptechnology.atlassian.net/browse/HFP-3142 which might be related to your custom theme (cmp. https://github.com/h5p/moodle-mod_hvp/issues/314). You can track progress by following the first link.

In our case, a missing scrolling="no" attribute in the embedding IFrame seems to cause the issue. We don't use any plug-in, though.
