Interactive Book: not displaying previous attempt

I absolutely love this tool but have found that if a student completes questions within the interactive book, then navigates to something else in Moodle, when they return to those same questions their previous responses are not displayed. In other content types students can see what their previous submission was.
Their submission is being captured as they can view them via the grades page but not in the interactive book itself.
questions need to behave the same in this interactive book tool as they do in other content types.
I have tested in MOODLE 3.7 and 3.9 and using a variety of web browsers.

Will there soon be a fix for this?

Hi mlomman,

Thank you for reporting this, however this is not a bug but a missing feature. The Interactive Book being in Beta state is not yet "complete". For instance in your case "save content state" is not yet supported.

Ah ok that makes sense. Any rough idea of when that feature will become available? I'm eager to use it in many upcoming projects.

Hi mlomman,

I'm not really sure when but as far as I know it is scheduled to be developed after releasing the OER Hub. But plans may change and schedules may also be pushed back.

Hello, how is the progress going with the resume feature?

Thanks

Hi bez.lashkari,

As far as I know the core team has not started developing this, the OER HUB has yet to be released and there are still some other projects in line.

Hi all!

Here it is: https://github.com/h5p/h5p-interactive-book/pull/59. Don't know however when the H5P core team will find the time for a review.

Best,
Oliver

Thanks Oliver!

I created a task for its review: https://h5ptechnology.atlassian.net/browse/HFP-3259

Hi, this is an important feature for interactive book contents. Some learners complained about this missing feature in interactive book. I hope that this feature is reflected soon. Thank you, Oliver!
