Question Set with Essay question at the end doesn't seem to have "Finish" button

I am working with H5P in Moodle version 3.8. When I make a question set with an essay question, when I test it, there seems to be no "Finish" button, so the work cannot be submitted. Any ideas?

Hi Eilatan!

Hmm, I cannot reproduce this. I get the 'finish' button. Has Essay's 'check' button been clicked? Just typing something isn't enough here.

Could you please a) check the browser's developer console (usually opened by pressing F12) for errors and/or b) provide access to the content?

Best,

Hi

I'm very new to using h5p, and I am learning basically by trial and error. I can't seem to resolve this issue - I put up a quiz made using the extension on moodle (v 3.9) via Question set. But at the end of the quiz, the finish button doesn't appear (where the results and option to retry and show solution are given). So the students can't submit/ finish it, and therefore they don't get the acivity completion ticked.

I'm sorry I can't share the file due to security options in the university, I think, so I'm attaching the final page of the quiz showing results where the Submit/ fnish button is missing!!

Can you please provide a solution?

Hi!

I see. You're referencing the endscreen of Question Set now, not Essay. There's no finish button on that endscreen as Question Set submits results automatically when the results are displayed. Seems to be related to the moodle integration them. Maybe someone else in the H5P community is interested in digging into moodle stuff.

You write: "There's no finish button on that endscreen as Question Set submits results automatically when the results are displayed."

I've created a Question set content on my Moodle test site, and when the last question in the set is reached a Finish button does appear!

Hi!

That may be the final exercise, but the image that was attached to the previous post shows the endscreen with the result - and Dinesha explicitly mentioned "where the results and option to retry and show solution are given".

The screen capture displayed by the OP is taken from a Moodle course viewed in teacher role (it shows the Edit buttons). Of course, a teacher cannot get grades and achieve activity completion! The OP must view this activity with a student role.

Hey, Papi Jo!

Interesting! That's most likely the answer. But is this really about the user's role or about the fact that the user is editing? I'm too lazy to check, but I'm pretty sure that on my moodle test site when using an admin account I get grades when I answer exercises in a course (not in editing mode).

Cheers,

Oliver
