There are contents that I cannot load in the H5P plugin.

I deeply appreciate anyone who can help me solve this problem I'm having with the H5P plugin. Once I have installed the Plugin in WordPress, I have tried to upload a content to create an interactive video. Once I proceed to search for the type of content I need, I notice that in some there is an option "Details" and in others "Get" as you can see in the Screenshots that I attach. The problem is that only the ones with the " GET " option can be loaded, so I can't make the video interactive. I thank you in advance for any help you can give me. Cheers

Hi!

The content types that have the "Get" button are not installed on your system yet and it would be true magic if they were working without installing them.

The content types that have the "Details" button are already installed and can be used. You can either click on the item which will open the editor, or you can click on the "Details" button and then on "Use" which will also open the editor.

Cheers,
Oliver

Thank you very much for trying to help me. I don't believe in bad luck, but I'm wondering. I have done as you have indicated, I have clicked "USE" and it keeps loading. I have waited more than 3 minutes and it kept loading. I am attaching a screenshot. I have also tried the contents that say "get" and the system tells me that it has been loaded correctly, but when I go to USE, the same thing happens, it stays loading as frozen. Of course I have checked that there was something loaded and there is nothing. I attached a screenshot for you to see. In case it had something to do with it, I'm using version 8.0 of PHP. I'm attaching another Screenshot so you can see the extensions it has. Grateful greetings.

Hi!

Neither a screenshot that shows a loading message nor a screenshot of PHP extensions installed does give any information to work with, sorry. Please open the development console (opened by pressing F12 on most browsers) and check for error messages there. Same for the PHP error logfile that most likely will hold an error message.

Cheers,
Oliver

Thanks again, I am attaching a screenshot of the PHP Errors panel, in the development console I did not find any errors. There has to be a solution right?

That's not the PHP logfile.

Hello, I sincerely tell you that I am very grateful that you continue trying to help me. I apologize for sending something that was not, due to my lack of knowledge and experience in some things. I have now seen if the Error Log and I have seen that there are many. Unfortunately I can't send you an MP4 Screenshot Video, because your system doesn't allow it. I send you a Partial Screenshot of the image. I trust that the solution will finally be found. grateful greetings

Hi!

It's not my site - I am not affiliated with the H5P core team. I just have too. much time obviously :-)

The HTTP error 508 indicates a loop. It seems that your server is misconfigured and redirects the request for a URL to the same URL over and over again. Error code 500 is a general error message from the server without details. And 404 is a missing file but that's not relevant here.

I'd check/let someone check the server configuration (e. g. htaccess files) and make sure it's not some other plugin that's caching things and has gone haywire.

Best,

Oliver

Thank you Oliver for your support. I consulted with the Server your comments, they have answered me that these errors are caused by H5P. So I need you to help me make a decision between 2 alternatives.

1) I have H5P installed on 2 servers. One is this where I have the problem of not being able to load the content.

2) On the other server I can load the content and I can edit the interactivity. But the problem arises when I get the iFrame code to embed the already edited video on another page of the same site, and I get a notice saying "Content Not Available"

So I would appreciate it if you could advise me on which problem would be easier to solve, so that I can concentrate all my efforts on it. Best regards

Hi!

Yes, H5P may be the trigger for the problem, but not the cause. It doesn't redirect, but the server does depending on its configuration.

1) What do you expect from the H5P community here? They inclusing myself can't do anything without being able to inspect the server configuration (Apache configuration + .htaccess files where usually redirecty are configured) and I doubt anyone has enough free time to guide you step by step.

2) You'll get that "Content Unavailable" message if you have the "Display Embed button" option unchecked, either when editing the content or having set a restrictive rule globally in the H5P plugin settings.

Best,
Oliver

Thanks again Oliver for your generosity, I am aware that you are giving me this help simply out of the desire to help. I do not want to abuse your kindness, but it would be too much to ask you, that you could send me or indicate the most correct way to configure the H5P settings? Regarding the "Content Not Available" notice problem? Thanks in advance and best regards

Hi!

The option "Display Embed button" on the righthand side when editing the content needs to be checked. That's all. If you don't see that option, then you've probably set the "Display Embed button" options in the plugin settings to "Never" and you'll need to change that setting first.

If that still doesn't help, then you may be using the extra WordPress plugin that allows to override stylesheets, etc. - and you may have set custom values for embed_access hook.

Cheers,
Oliver

Hi Federico,

Just to add to this if you are having issues when you are clicking on the contents with "Details" I would suggest that you include that in the description. A screenshot of that issue will also help in diagnosing the issue.

Thanks BV, if I have done what you have indicated and the result is the same. I am attaching the screenshots. Cheers
