Moodle - unable to create fill-in-the-blanks, other content

hey there,

I'm unable to create fill-in-the-blanks and other content like Agamotto, Drag the words, Course Presentation while Collage or Accordian work.

How does it happen:

- add from content bank or directly from the course (blue or black icons)

- Save/Cancel buttons appears with "Loadin, please wait..." spinning wheel

- Spins indefinitely

I've tried uploading fill-in-the-blank h5p files, my own as well as the sample file. Nothing happens.

I'm on

Moodle 4.0.4+ latest version as of today

mod_h5pactivity version 2022041900

mod_hvp  version 2022012000

php ok

happens on Firefox, Chrome (using Windows)

Thank you!

Hello maude,

this request has nothing to do with H5P and therefore belongs in a moodle forum, since you are using moodle's own developed version of H5P. Such requests often end up here and are rather annoying since they can't be answered here. Nevertheless, I wish you good luck in fixing this problem.

Greetings villon

Hey Villon, the issue also affects the h5p-developed version of h5p, as stated in the original post. (Hvp is the black icon)

If such questions are "annoying", there should be a warning not to ask about the moodle - developed version of h5p (blue icon), along with specs etc. A link to the moodle h5p form would be appropriate too.

Your answer does not correspond to what I'd expect to read in a forum with the current guidelines. However, I'm sure both my question and your answer will be helpful to anyone affected by these kinds of issues.

Cheers.

Hi Maude!

Please keep in mind that this is a community forum and often (like now) you will receive an answer from someone who is not affiliated with the H5P core team in any way.

Could you please provide some more information? I assume that you'll find some error messages in your browser's development console (usually opened by pressing F12 or Ctrl-Shift-i and then, if needed, going to the "console" tab). Those messages are what would allow to narrow down what might be wrong. Having a look at the PHP server log might also be helpful, but that may be beyond your reach.

Cheers,
Oliver
