Multiple audio files not playing simultaneously in Interactive video quiz

Hi

I am working on an interactive video activity in which I am adding a Multiple Choice Question. The video has a background music that is paused when the quiz pops up and video is paused.

Here, I am adding two audio files:

1. The question which has to be read out.

2. A background music that plays when the question is being read and that continues as the learner takes time to answer the question.

When I play/ view the file, only the question audio plays out, but not the backgound music. I tried changing the order in which I upload the audio files. That didn't help.

Is there any other way to make it work? Where am I going wrong? Please guide.

Hi Sreekanth,

Can you please share a sample content so that we can test.

Here is a sample file. In this, only the text is read. Background music bit is not played or heard at all.

Hi Sreekanth,

Thank you for the sample content. I understand now what you are trying to do and unfortuantely this is not possible. You can only upload and play only 1 audio file. It looks like this is a faulty design since you should only be able to upload one file.

May I suggest using Course Presentation instead. This way you can have a separate audio file in the same slide.

Hi BV

Thanks for the clarification. I will do away with the background music for now.

I also noticed that when I do some back-and-forth through the video, most of times the question audio is not heard. Any idea why?

I don't think course presentation will be useful in my case as I have multiple questions in a single video at different time points.

Hi Sreekanth,

This might be a browser setting/limitation. Browsers are becoming stricter due to advertisements on werbsites. Auto-play are sometimes blocked. I would suggest that instead of using trasparent for your audio to change it to minimalistic so that there is a button to play it.

Thanks BV. Sounds like a valid point. Will try that.
