Can not open h5p file

The attahced h5p file was created using Lumi software by one of my team member. He can opne the file in his computer correctly. He send me file via email and gdrive, but i can not opne the file correctly. He made few other similar files, they are opening correctly. This issue is having for a few files only.

What is the reason for this not open? How can we fix it?

Hi dilanqs!

What version of Lumi are you using?

H5P's core libraries were updated to version 1.27 a while back, and older versions of Lumi do not ship with that version but an older one. If content types (such as Course Presentation 1.26 in your content) require version 1.27 of H5P core, then older versions of Lumi will not be able to handle them.

Consequently, you should get the latest version of Lumi Desktop that was released last month and not contains H5P Core 1.27. Then try to load the content again with that version. Hope that helps.

Thanks for pointing to the link for the current version of Lumi. Just a word of warning: When you go to that link, DO NOT click Download from the Microsoft Store, which installs the old Lumi version! Click on either Download installer for single user (exe, x64, auto-update) OR Download system-wide installer (exe, x64, no auto-update), which contain the latest Lumi version Lumi v1.0.0 (C) 2025 Lumi Education UG (hb)!

Whici version of Lumi are you using? I am using 0.9.4.0 with Course Presentation 1.25.9 and Course Presentation Editor 1.25.7. I can confirm that your H5P file crashes in Lumi, but can be imported in Moodle and WordPress, where the latest versions are Course Presentation 1.26.3 and Course Presentation Editor 1.25.14.

Unfortunately I cannot upgrade those libraries in Lumi, which is the problem!

  • The H5P Content Hub updated Interactive Video and Course Presentation to require H5P core ≥ 1.26, while Lumi still uses H5P core 1.24, so these content types are hidden h5p.org+15help.lumi.education+15github.com+15.

  • Indeed, users on Lumi’s GitHub reported the problem, and Lumi developers confirmed the mismatch

Sorry to hijack your post but I don't seem to be getting any traction on my post and it looks like you guys are Lumi users and might be able to help. Are you using Lumi to make SCORM files? If so are your SCORM files receiving grades when you upload it to your LMS? If so what LMS are you using? I have tried to contact Lumi but no luck. Thanks.
