Course Presentation: Setting to restrict navigation to instructor for live synchronous presentations
Course Presentation is an awsome tool that I make use of in my Biology courses. I have begun teaching blended modality courses with asynchronous self-study modules and live scheduled "in-class" online sessions. Is it possible to add a setting to Course Presentation whereby slides can only be advanced by the instructor (the class would be able to view the slides and complete activities)? This way, I would be able to include formative (possibly graded) exercises that would be embedded within the presentation, to be done simultaneously by the class (for example, echo360 offers the ability to do fully instructor controlled live presentations). I think something like this would move this tool from "awesome" to "perfect!"
Thanks!

Big Blue Button is working on such a feature. However, I am not aware what their current status is. You can see an early demo at https://youtu.be/byn3cYsmoSk

WOW to this...
Yes, this is exacly what I am looking for. Unfortunately, my institution does not have Bigbluebutton installed on their system, thou I have been cajoling the edtech powers that be to do so (for whatever reason, they still prefr Google apps...)
This is a great step forward! I am wondering that if the BBB Moodle activity plugin is used, can H5P grades be passed to the Moodle gradebook? (I will contact the BBB developers regarding this).
I still hope that such functionality can be built directly into Course Presentation.
Thanks for the info!

This is not something that a content type can feature directly without the core of H5P/the H5P integration supporting it.

Understood. Hoping that some sort of live presentation functionality can be built into the H5P core app - I will also inquire with the developer team. Thanks!

After some diging, it appears that BigBlueButton 3.0 was released in March, as well as the H5P plugin for BBB. Will forward to our EdTech support people.
