Multipoll results overview

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use the multipoll in one of the courses. I am looking for an option to make the results appear for participants just after they submit their poll (like this: Multipoll - H5P.com).

I am creating the poll in Brightspace, but I can't figure out a way to make results appear instantly.
It's usually result don't appear until the teacher publish them!

Hi Mina21,

After saving the content click on the options icon (3 dots) then click show results. This will show the results to participants once they submit their answers.

Thanks a lot!

Following up on Mina21's question on this. I do have the "show results to participants" option enabled; however, for me, the student view is missing. All that is displayed is the presenter view with the two tabs "live report" and summary." I'd like learners to be able to view the word cloud after submitting their answer.

Hi ela.unthc,

Have you tried testing the content using a student account or when in incognito mode (if the content is public)? If you are logged in as an author you will have a different view from what student may see since it provides more details and control over the content.

Hi BV52,

Yes, I get the student view in incognito mode; however, I still do not see the word cloud after submission. I get the "waiting for everyone to respond" message. This is not the behavior I see when using just the link.

Hi BV52,

I cannot seem to access the other thread anymore, so just to double-check, you are saying that I cannot get the word cloud as shown in the demo. Could I know why my multipoll is behaving differently, requiring users to click the summary tab in order to retrieve the results? When I used your demo, I did not have to do that to see the results. Is there another setting I can update? Not seeing the word cloud beats the whole point of setting up a word cloud multipoll.

Hi ela.unthc,

I actually noticed this only earlier when I saw the screenshot. You created a Word cloud inside Multipoll. On the other hand the content I tested was a standalone Wordcloud. Multipoll was designed to have multipoll contents within a single activity. So instead of seeing the details of the answers the first thing users will see will be a brief overview of the activity and would have to go to the summary to get more details.

Got it! So, how do I create one that behaves exactly like this https://bv-demo.h5p.com/content/1292062340147549789?

Hi ela.unthc,

You should create a standalone Word Cloud instead of Multipoll.
