H5P.TrueFalse 1.8.18 not loading in Moodle 4.5

Hello,

We are using Moodle 4.5 with core H5P.

A course creator uploaded an .h5p file containing H5P.TrueFalse 1.8.18. After upload, all activities that use True/False no longer load. The previous version was 1.8.11.

Other H5P content types still work.

It appears the uploaded package replaced the existing True/False library and possibly caused a dependency mismatch.

Questions:

 

  • What is the correct way to repair a broken library after upload? Can i fixed the new version and how, is there any update?

  • Is there a recommended method to roll back a library version?

  • What i can do for the h5p activites that are already configured with the version 1.8.18 if i rolled back a library version?

Yeah, well, see https://github.com/h5p/h5p-question/issues/48 for the background.

Some people think it's smart to not use the official libraries but build them themselves (without knowing what they are doing). Others love to work with administrive rights enabled (and thus installing these homebrew libraries when uploading content).

Without getting your hands dirty, the best you can do is hope that Moodle HQ adopts the upcoming changes to H5P core quickly, so you then could use the latest update of the content types that would resolve the problem.
