Room URL error in Android and iOS
I submitted this issue in Github about a month ago, but there hasn't been an update (https://github.com/GriffWith/h5p-appear-in/issues/2). Using an Android device with or without the appear.in app installed, when attempting to enter a room (such as http://h5p.org/appear.in), a new window or room within the app will open with the incorrect URL by adding an extra "appear.in/" in the URL. For example, the room "appear.in/h5p" becomes "appear.in/appear.in/h5p" so the people who are connecting to the room via desktop will not be connecting to the same room (because they will be waiting in "appear.in/h5p"). Same issue with iOS with app installed.

The Appear.in content type is created by an external developer, but I will try adding a comment on the github-issue.

error "the connection was reset"
I was able to use it in my webpage couple days ago. Today I try to use it, the error message shows "the connection was reset" with sad face. I could get the northern light screen once, but it tried to connect to server with any success. I am using the OS El Capitan. Anyone how to fix it or it's the site server problem? Thank you.

Hi,
It is working fine here, can you clear your cache and try again ? Are you still getting the error ?
I suspect it was a caching problem or a temporary problem with the appear.in servers.

Data Storage on Server
Hi,
I was wondering, what participant data is collected by the server that hosts the video session, and in what country are these servers located? I am pursing the H5P plugin for inclusion with Moodle at my post-secondaru institution, and depending on what information is gathered from session particiapants and where this data is stored, there may be privacy implications for this H5P module.
Thanks!

Hi Tim, Not quite, let me try
Hi Tim,
Not quite, let me try to rephrase my question. When I demoed the appear.in module I was connected to a server that hosted the call, my question is with regards to this server. If I were to install H5P within my instance of Moodle, would the appear.in module route calls through the same central server that coordinates the demo appear.in calls? Or, can they be routed through a sever on-site at my post secondary educational institution?
I hope this makes sense, thansk for taking the time to field my question!

appear.in
Hi Adam!
The h5p content type, is just a wrapper around the appear.in service. You can't use this with a on-site server, only trough the hosted service.
If you are worried about the security of your calls, you can have a look at this article, on their site.

FYI everyone: The embedding part of appear.in is ending on the 30th June 2017.
After that, an external window will be opened from the join link. The guys over there just got back to me today and let me know.
