Description
Drag the Words allows content designers to create textual expressions with missing pieces of text. The end user drags a missing piece of text to its correct place, to form a complete expression.
May be used to check if the user remembers a text she has read, or if she understands something. Helps the user think through a text.
It's super easy to create a drag the words task. The editor just writes the text and encloses the words that are to be draggable with asterix signs like *draggableWord*.
Features
- Add as many expressions and missing pieces of text as you like
- A hint may be added to each missing piece of text
- Drag the Words can be included in Presentation, Interactive video and Question set content types

Hi Paul,
This is by design to make the editors as simple as possible. Bout you do have a point these are needed in certain situations. I suggest that you post a feature request for this. In order for your feature request to attract as much interest as possible make sure it follows the below guidelines:
It is clear from every perspective how the feature will work. We recommend describing the feature with one or more user stories, for instance “As an author, I want it to be possible to pick between different effects for the check answer animation so that the learner will see a variety of effects and also I can adapt the effects to my target audience(I’ll be using pink unicorns which works really well for both my target audience which are 4 year old girls and venture capitalists)”
If the feature can be illustrated with images or videos it always helps
Make it clear what content types this is relevant for, and or if this is a new content type
Make sure you post the feature in the Feature Request forum.

Screen Reader navigation of Drag the Words in Pressbooks
Hi there,
I'm working with students who want to ensure that their Pressbooks text is accessible. They use a number of H5P apps in the text, including Drag the Words. However, I've tried using both the Jaws and NVDA screen readers to select a draggable word (space bar, Enter key, etc.) but I can't, let alone drop the draggable word on a drop spot. I take it that I should be able to do this without installing any extra plugins? Is this browser-dependent? Does the end format (Pressbooks in this case) matter?
Thanks for your help!

Hi agow,
Have you tried testing the sample content? I just did and it works as expected. So it could possibly be pressbook or another plugin that is interfering with H5P.

Screen Reader navigation of Drag the Words in Pressbooks
Hi BV,
Apologies! Drag the Words works fine in Pressbooks using both the Jaws and NVDA screen readers. The key step when interacting with this content using NVDA is to switch into browse mode (NVDA + Space key). For Jaws, you need to switch to the Jaws cursor.
Thanks!

Screen Reader navigation of Drag the Words in Pressbooks
Hello, Agow! When using JAWS how to you switch to the JAWS cursor? I'm using JAWS 2020 to test and as far as I can tell, I have the virtual cursor on, but for the life of me I can't get it to work with Drag the Words.

Jaws cursor vs. the PC cursor
Hi mmercer,
See the commands below for toggling between the Jaws and PC cursors, for both desktop and laptop computers. Jaws should announce what cursor is active. You can find more Jaws commands in Freedom Scientific's training content.

I am trying to find something that allows me to do a spelling/rearrange the letters task so something like - user would have 6 blank boxes and 6 mixed up letters to drag into the empty boxes to spell the word correctly _ _ _ _ _ _ RNAUOD is this possible with drag and drop or any other function that I could use? Thanks for any help.

Feature request
This activity is very interesting, the only extra option I would put in is a set of "trap" words that are extra / that have nothing to do with the words that have to fit in the empty boxes.
Thank for your work.
