Course Presentation - limitations

Hey there

I've joined an hour ago - thanks so much for great community and product.

Quick question - Can you create a Course Presentation that includes for e.g. drag and drops and hot spots - or are you limited to quiz questions and text and images?

If you can combine - how do you add on the drag and drop etc to the course presentation?

Hi Mairin,

To provide a best possible experience for new users and to ensure that people use H5P.org only for trying out H5P (we've had more traffic than our server can handle lately, ref also the warnings when you create content, embed content and view the content) we are experimenting with which content types should be available here.

Check the getting started page for information on how you can use all the content types and use H5P for real. We unfortunately are not able to provide free hosting, only free software :) Hopefully you'll consider supporting the H5P Core Team by using H5P.com.

Drag and Drop can be created in Course Presentation if you use the plugin or through H5P.com

Can I check if it's possible to customise the slide background or create a master slide design?

Also if I create any content on H5P during one month free trial - can this be still used or accessed in Moodle after trial?

Sorry one more question - when embedding video - do you add hyper link from YouTube or Vimeo or do you need the movie file and in what format?

Hi Mairin,

Yes you can by utilizing the "slide background" feature:

 

CP Background

No you will not have access to the contents once the trial period ends. However you can download the contents prior to the trial expiring and use the free plugin for Moodle.

You can use both. You can use the URL of the video for youtube while Vimeo will ahve a different approach. You can also upload a video directly and I would suggest to use mp4 since most if not all browsers supports it.

I've set up trail in H5P.com.  Can  I check if you can add carousel slides into the Course Presentation?  Sorry I can't see that option?

Also when I set up a H5P with a customised palette etc for background colour - can I save the template or clone the H5P file to use elsewhere in Moodle?

Hi Mairin,

I'm afraid I don't know what "carousel slides" are.

The best way of creating a "template" is to download the content and upload it whenever you need it.

Sorry I meant to say Accordion slide.  Can I add into a Course Presentation?

Also what is the screen size I should design for - going to be hosted in Moodle plugin.  Should background images be a certain size and what size should work canvas me?  Is there a design grid switch on feature?  Sorry about all the questions.

Hi Mairin,

I'm sorry Course Presentation does not support the Accordion.

For best results I suggest that you use an image with a 16/9 ratio. With regards to design grid switch this is not available.

I've created a MCQ questions with 3 options and all 3 are correct.

I've ticked correct for each answer option and set to automatic but it's only allowing me to tick one question. 

Any suggestions on settings to use?

I'm not sure what you meant with "but it's only allowing me to tick one question". Does this mean it is only allowing you to choose one answer before checking or do you mean that it is only allowing you to create 1 question?

It is only allowing me to select one answer as correct ie select one check box rather than multiple.  Event though I've set 3 answers as correct.
