Question Set (Quiz)

telugu's picture

Sort the paragraph is very interesting content type and I am wondering if we can have this option in Quiz (Question Set). Also is it possible to allow to add table in Mark the word question type? I tried coping and pasting a table in Mark the words from MS Word, it did not show as table. So I would like to request these two features:

  1. To have Sort the paragraph in Question Set
  2. Have an option to add table in Mark the Words question type

thanks in advance!!

You wrote "I tried coping and pasting a table in Mark the words from MS Word, it did not show as table." The text editor provided in H5P contents is totally different from and incompatible with MS Word. Copying-pasting will not work.

1.- To have Sort the paragraph in Question Set

That is a decision of the H5P team. I leave it to Oliver, the author of Sort the Paragraphs to explain.

2.- Have an option to add table in Mark the Words question type

The table feature is not available in the H5P Mark the Words content. However, I have made it available in my 'papi Jo' Mark the Words version. You can read about it on my test site at Mark the Words 'papi Jo' (doc) and view examples at Demo Book Mark the Words papi Jo (page 9).

Hi Sushumna!

Regarding 1) (@papiJo I was hoping I would not have to explain that myself again and again ;-)): It is very simple to include other content types in theory. It just means adding one line of code to the semantics.json file of Question Set. In practice it is a little more complicated:

  • The content type that is added needs to follow the Question Type contract and, unfortunately, it needs to also take care of some things that are not documented in the contract: Make sure that when `showSolutions` is called from the outside, the feedback is displayed and implement the `params.behaviour.enableCheckButton` behaviour. I just added support for the undocumented things. Should work now. I'll have a look at my other content types as well when time allows.
  • Even if the above is fine (the newly added subcontent type adheres to what needs to be done) and the one line of code is added, the H5P core team will need to review and test everything. That is the true bottleneck here.

Cheers,
Oliver
