Lifetime of Content Created On H5P.org?

My university wants to implement H5P for the upcoming semester, and I'm writing documentation to help familiarize the faculty and educate them on how H5P functions within Moodle.

If an instructor creates content on H5P.org and embeds it in their course, how long will the content remain on your servers? Should they be warned to download a backup .h5p file in case of a data wipe?

Hi kamarti10,

We do not routinely deleted data or contents. Their contents will remain in H5P's server for an indefinite period of time. :-)

I quite possibly am just out of luck but I'll ask anyway. Some of the instructors that were in my H5P.com instance last year are no longer continuing to teach in my program. I removed them from my instance to make room for the new incoming instructors per our license. They didn't all share with me or download their content before I removed them. For some unknown reason they are also not listed in my archived instructors. Is there a backup process any where that we might be able to re-access their content? I appreciate any help or advice I can get...

Hi lrosen,

You should still see the contents by choosing 'All Content' on the left panel. You can then assign these contents to you or to other authors that will manage it. If you still can't see these contents I suggest that you contact H5P.com support directly by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
