Panopto integration with H5P - are the video files remote or local?

I just wanted to know if a video imported from Panopto directly into H5P (for interactive editing) remains hosted externally on Panopto or is then transferred to the H5P platform for hosting. The reason I am asking this is that I want to know if the video views would continue to be counted on the Panopto platform (as an externally linked embedded file) and also if we made changes to the original video file on Panopto, those changes would automatically transfer across to the H5P video.
